Thank you for taking the time to visit my digital home.
My name is Anthony R. Ur, a voice over artist / actor / developer / maker located on the east coast of the United States.
I currently serve as the Art Director and Animation Technology Lead for the US Army Combat Capabilities Development Command Armaments Center (CCDC AC) Gaming Interactive Technologies and Multimedia (GITM) team, a team dedicated to the development of Serious Games for training. I have been working with this fabulous team since 2002, and love every minute of it.
I have worked in every area of the Game Development pipeline from concept exploration, to game design, audio development / recording, Motion Capture, and level design to name a few. Since 2019, I have been utilizing my skills and knowledge of the video game realm by developing the Virtual Immersive Capture Technology Research Innovation (VICTRI) Lab, a lab designed to study the latest video game technologies and develop new ways of utilizing these technologies to aid in the training of the warfighter.
Utilizing all of the knowledge that I have gathered over the years, I have been giving back to the community since 2015 working as an Adjunct Professor for local universities. My primary objective is assisting in the development of students, preparing them for the challenging job market of game design and development. I work closely with the Academic Staff at these locations to develop a curriculum focused around new and upcoming development paradigms utilizing Virtual, Augmented, and Mixed reality.
Lastly, I have founded Next Gen Imaging LLC, a 3D Scanning, 3D Printing, Digital Sculpture, Rapid Prototype, Motion Capture, and Serious Games development company. To date, Next Gen Imaging LLC has a series of projects under development that utilize state of the art virtual reality headsets, inertial motion capture systems, structured light 3D Scanning, Photogrammetry, as well as Stereo Lithography (SLA) 3D Printing.
